SALEM’S LOT screens in the USA
Shot entirely in Victoria in 2003, the two-part telemovie SALEM’S LOT starring Rob Lowe, Donald Sutherland and Rutger Hauer was screened on US cable network TNT this week. Produced by Mark M Wolper Productions and Coote Hayes Productions in association with Warner Brothers Television, SALEM’S LOT was shot in Melbourne, Creswick, Mernda and Woodend and was produced with the assistance of Film Victoria’s Melbourne Film Office. The opening instalment of the telemovie screened Sunday June 20 on cable station TNT and gained an audience of 5.9 million, making SALEM’S LOT the network’s ‘most-watched movie year-to-date’.
