Melbourne Film Office restructures
Film Victoria’s Melbourne Film Office has recently undergone changes in its business approach and structure in order to better meet the changing film and television industry’s economic and competitive environment, and Film Victoria’s key objectives and strategies.
These changes include the creation of two new positions, Marketing Coordinator and Victorian Film Officer and the loss of the Commercial Development Manager position. Consequently, we farewell Christina Hyde from Film Victoria this week. Christina’s contribution over the past four and a half years to the MFO team as Commercial Development Manager has facilitated the formation of the Production Investment Attraction Fund (PIAF), and the Regional Victoria Film Location Assistance Fund (RLAF), the development of excellent industry relationships and an increase in international production in Victoria. We wish Christina every success in her future endeavours.
The PIAF and RLAF incentive funds will remain operational and available to productions. Please contact Caroline Pitcher, General Manager, Melbourne Film Office on 03 — 9660 3240 to apply to either fund. The two new positions will be advertised shortly.
