On Wednesday 16 June at 6.30pm at Cinema Nova, the un-produced feature film script TO HELL & BOURKE will be read by professional actors, who have rehearsed with its writer/director Richard J Frankland. After the performance, a Q&A will be held with the creative team, including producer Ross Hutchens and co-producer John Foss.

Richard J Frankland is one of Australia’s most successful indigenous writer/directors. In 1996 he wrote and directed the AFI award winning short film NO WAY TO FORGET that screened at Cannes in 1996. In 2000, Richard wrote and directed the award winning short drama HARRY’S WAR that was seen on both SBS and the ABC, and 2002 he wrote the award winning play CONVERSATIONS WITH THE DEAD that has recently been staged in New York.

In TO HELL & BOURKE two Koories, an Italian rock star, a possessed dog, and a Koorie transvestite with a sacred stone drive a couple of thousand kilometres with 287 pre-rolled joints. Come along to script alive! and see how the journey unfolds! Tickets are now on sale at Cinema Nova for $9 full or $6 concession
