This course is designed to cover the essentials of interactive digital media project management. Participants will gain an understanding of project management principles, processes and tools, and their application to interactive multimedia projects.

Course Objectives:
By the end of the course participants should be able to:

Identify the stages associated with an interactive project life cycle
Apply processes and techniques to define and plan projects, and to achieve defined project outcomes
More effectively manage an interactive media project.

Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for digital media professionals who have experienced at least one interactive digital media project. It is also suitable for existing team leaders or project managers who have not had formal training.

Course Director
Carolyn Guerin has worked as a producer and project manager of interactive projects since 1995. She has specialised in internet and internet-related projects, managing a diverse range of innovative projects with artists and organisations, from experimental online/real-life cultural events to high-profile corporate initiatives. A number of Carolyn's projects have won awards and been archived in the National Library of Australia's Pandora collection. Previous roles include media design manager for the Australian Centre for the Moving Image and director of projects at Sausage Interactive.
