This course has been developed to reflect current industry practice for the use of AVID systems in post-production facilities.

The course will comprise a series of lectures and hands-on practical sessions. Each participant will have ample opportunity to complete practical exercises on their own workstation. The course is conducted on Avid Express DV, with reference to the features available on the other Avid versions.

The orientation of the course is towards working editors who require familiarity with the Avid non-linear system.

Participants should have an understanding of the principles of editing and should have some experience with the Macintosh operating platform.
