FEATURE FILM BUDGETING: Keeping the costs down!
November 2004
Want to learn about ways of keeping costs down and production values up? This version of our established Feature Film Budgeting course has been updated to reflect the trend towards low budget features in Australia.
This course covers all aspects of budgeting from above the line fees, through to post production and delivery items (DVD, trailer and Electronic Press Kit).
By the end of the course participants should be able to:
-Make informed choices about the different production parameters for bringing a feature script to the screen
-Understand the layout and coding of an A to Z budget.
-Budget a feature film.
Course Director, Ann Darrouzet, is an award winning producer, whose credits include the feature film TRUE LOVE AND CHAOS, the International Emmy winning children’s program BLABBER MOUTH & STICKY BEAK, the 26 part children’s series HORACE & TINA and, HOLLY’S HEROES as well as the short drama SPARKY D COMES TO TOWN. Ann line produced the ABC series RAW FM, the BAFTA winning children’s series THUNDERSTONE 1 and the 10-part SBS sitcom THE NEVER TOO LATE SHOW. During the early 90’s Ann worked as Budget Analyst/Project Manger for the FFC providing budget assessments for drama and documentary projects.
